Floyd Central High School Spanish Teacher Michelle Martin-Sullivan has been selected as the Kentucky World Language Association’s 2017 Outstanding New Teacher. The KWLA presents this award to a world language teacher who has been teaching for less than five years and who has had a tremendous impact on their students by exemplifying the qualities of what is considered to be masterful teaching of a world language. Martin-Sullivan is currently in her third year as an educator. One of her colleagues said her effective teaching lead students to advocate to the administration the need for AP level Spanish courses.
