Captain Bobby Slone of the Betsy Layne Fire Protection District said they have received several complaints of someone going door-to-door asking for monetary donations for the fire department. Captain Slone said the department is Chapter 75 Tax Collecting and does not solicit monetary donations. He asks that money not be given to these individuals and for victims to get a description, license plate, or any kind of identification to turn the information over to law enforcement.
