On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and the Appalachia Narcotics Investigations team arrested several from Harlan County on drug trafficking charges. The arrested were a combined effort resulting from undercover drug investigations conducted by the two entities. The joint investigation resulted in the arrest of eleven individuals charged with 22 drug trafficking charges. Four Harlan County District Court Bench Warrants and a Harlan County Child Support warrant were also served. Additional warrants are outstanding and more arrests are pending.
