Former Social Security attorney Eric C. Conn has been apprehended in Honduras. Conn was reported arrested by El Heraldo, a Honduran news website, on Monday, December 4, 2017. The Technical Agency for Criminal Investigation (ATIC) took the fugitive attorney into custody as he was leaving a restaurant on in the city of La Ceiba. Conn has been on the run for several months and had fled the country this past summer with help from former employee, Curtis Wyatt. Conn, along with judge David Daugherty and psychologist Bradley Adkins had conspired to defraud the Social Security program. Conn was originally scheduled for sentencing in July before he fled. He was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison, with more time possible for pending charges. Conn is expected to be transported back to the US on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.
