The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident. The incident happened on Sunday, December 3, 2017, when EMS received a call of an unresponsive 14-year-old in the Pigeon Roost community. The juvenile was also reportedly combative, allegedly threatening several individuals with a firearm before shooting at the them. Drug use is suspected to be a factor. No one was injured at the scene. The juvenile was taken into custody and lodged in the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center.
