Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball has returned over $4.6 million worth of unclaimed property to Kentuckians through proactive searches in 2017. Treasurer Ball said she is a big believer in property rights and is happy to return people’s property back to them. Shortly after taking office, Ball implemented changes to eliminate a 90-day backlog within the Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Division. The treasurer added that it is important that people and groups are made aware of the money that belongs to them so they can claim it.
