The Hazard Police Department is currently investigating an incident at Rite Aid in the Hazard Village Shopping Center, during which an unknown man brandished a firearm to store employees. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. The perpetrator is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, roughly 5’9” tall, wearing a black bandana under a white hate and a black coat. He had tattoos on his neck and his carrying a handgun of an unknown caliber. The perpetrator left the scene in a black SUV.
