The unknown callers are telling people they have warrants and that they need to send money via money gram to satisfy the warrant for their arrest. These callers are using local numbers to contact people. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office advises citizens that they will not contact you requesting money for warrant. If someone contacts you and claims to be an officer with the sheriff’s office, get their information and contact the sheriff’s office at 606-432-6260.
