Complaints Lead to Drug Arrest in Floyd County

On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies made a drug arrest following a traffic stop. Deputies stopped a grey Chrysler 300 belonging to Toby Akers on RT 80 in the Bull Creek area. Deputies had received numerous tips and complaints regarding illegal drug activity being delivered or sold from a vehicle with this description. During the stop, the K-9 unit alerted deputies to illegal drugs being inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the driver, Larry Mullins, 20 of Printer, was discovered to be in possession of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia. Mullins was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia.
