A Tennessee man was arrested following a traffic crash in Laurel County. On Friday, December 15, 2017, around 1:50am, Laurel County Deputies arrested 30-year-old Adrian Gomez of Jellico Tennessee. The arrest occurred on I-75 after Deputy Shannon Jones was dispatched to a complaint of a Chevrolet Equinox over an embankment. An investigation was conducted after detecting the strong odor of alcohol emitting from the driver, who was determined to be under the influence. Gomez was charged with DUI first offense and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
