On Sunday, December 24, 2017, around 2:20pm, Knox County Deputy Sam Mullins responded to Snappy Tomato Pizza in Corbin regarding a delivery man that had been robbed. The delivery man has been robbed by knife point while making a delivery as Elane Court Apartments. Deputy Mullins developed a suspect and made several attempts to locate him. On December 28, 2017, Sheriff Mike Smith was contacted by a person who wanted to meet and give him information on the robbery. Sheriff Smith traveled to Van Berber Apartments and met with Joshua Wombles, who confessed to the robbery. Wombles, 21, was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
