The Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics has released the unemployment rate data for November 2017. According to the report, between November 2016 and November 2017, unemployment rates fell in 72 counties across the commonwealth, while staying the same in 17 and rising in 31. Woodford County recorded the lowest jobless rate at 2.7 percent. Magoffin County held the state’s highest unemployment rate at 12.7 percent, followed by Elliot County at 8.2 percent, and Harlan, Leslie, and Lewis Counties at 7.7 percent. Kentucky’s unadjusted unemployment rate for the state was 4.1 percent for November, and 3.9 percent for the nation.
