A traffic accident closed part of US 23 on Monday, January 8, 2018. The accident, involving multiple vehicles, occurred around 7pm near the intersection of RT 1428 at Allen. Both lanes of US 23 were closed while emergency personnel worked the scene. The road was reopened after personnel cleared the accident, and Transportation road crews cleared rocks from the roadway.
