Two Arrested After Third Disturbance Call at Laurel County Residence

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals following a complaint  of a disturbance. The arrests occurred around 1:21 pm Monday, January 8, 2018 off Riverside Loop. Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance there, the third call in less than an hour. On the third response, deputies learned one of the individuals tried setting fire to wedding pictures inside the residence while holding his one-year-old daughter. One subject was also found to be in possession of a firearm and determined to be a convicted felon. Brandon Rice, 23, was charged with wanton endangerment, and Michael DeWayne Hicks, 44, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
