Knox County Man Arrested for Meth Possession, Treated for Overdose

On Friday, January 5, 2018, around 2:05pm, the Knox County Sheriff’s office was on patrol on KY 6 near Wilton when they observed a vehicle sitting on the side of the road with the engine. When they checked the vehicle, they observed the driver of the vehicle smoking methamphetamine. The driver, identified as Brett Satterfield, 49, of Barbourville, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance. Due to his level of intoxication, he was transported to Barbourville ARH for treatment  of drug overdose before being released to be lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
