On Sunday, January 14, 2018, the Laurel County sheriff’s office made an arrest following an assault. The arrest occurred off Pine Hill Brock Road around 7:48pm, after deputies were dispatched to a verbal dispute which turned physical. When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that the subject, identified as 36-year-old James Duff of London, had allegedly pushed a female victim and slammed her hand into a dresser. Duff was charged with assault and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
