On Monday, January 15, 2018, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lily man on a sexual abuse charge. The arrest occurred around 4:29pm near Lily, after deputies were dispatched to conduct an investigation involving two young children there. Upon arrival investigators learned that the subject, identified as 18-year-old Brett Eugene Hand, had allegedly subjected two children to sexual contact. Hand was charged with two counts of sexual abuse and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
