An assault arrest occurred in Laurel County on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. The arrest occurred around 5:26am off Cole road. Neighbors reported that a female was running outside screaming for help. When deputies arrived, they made contact with the female victim. Deputies learned a male subject apparently threatened the woman and ran her outside. Deputies made contact with the subject, identified as Marvin Johnson, 60, inside the house and a brief struggle ensued. Johnson was taken into custody. He was charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
