Floyd County Superintendent Steve Trimble has announced the results for Districts 85 and 86 Governor’s Cup competitions. The meets were held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Allen Elementary and Betsy Layne Elementary. Duff-Allen Central Elementary and South Floyd Elementary were District Governor’s Cup champions. Both schools also placed first in their districts in Future Problem Solving, with Duff-Allen Central and John M. Stumbo Elementary teams placing first in Quick Recall. Future Problem Solving and English Composition competitions will be January 29, 2018. All other written assessments and quick recall competition will be February 3, 2018 at Johnson Central Middle School.
