On Saturday, January 20, 2018, around 9am, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a man firing a weapon into a vehicle on Bargo Loop in Bimble and barricaded himself in his residence. When deputies arrive, the man, identified as Christopher Bingham, 41, was still inside the residence. An attempt at contact was made with no response. An arrest warrant was obtained around 11am. A family member made contact with Bingham, who agreed to surrender after negotiating with Sheriff Mike Smith. Bingham was arrested around 1:45pm and his weapon, an AR-15 rifle, was seized.
