Law enforcement and officials with Floyd County Schools are investigating a possible threat. Through social media, officials found out about the threat directed at a student at Floyd Central High School, the evening of Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Law enforcement was immediately notified once the threat was received. An investigation was opened at that time and remains ongoing. It was found safe for students to attend school. While the threat is currently unconfirmed, additional safety procedures will remain in place. The alleged student the post was directed toward will not return to Floyd Central until the investigation has been completed.
