A staff member with the Renaissance Learning Center has been arrested for drug possession. According to Dispatcher Shepherd, the Martin Police Department was contacted at 1:10pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 following a drug check conducted by the Floyd County Sheriff’s K-9 unit. The K-9 unit alerted deputies to the vehicle twice, belonging to Raquel Caine, a teacher’s aide with the center. Inside, officials found an unknown substance and drug paraphernalia. The substance was sent to a lab for testing. Caine was charged with first degree possession and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
