The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest the afternoon of Monday, January 29, 2018 following a theft investigation. The arrest occurred around 3:42pm at a business off US 25. Several items were allegedly stolen from a worksite there, valued at nearly $3000. Items stolen included fishing reels, GPS units, speakers, a drill, and a battery and charger. The suspect, Matthew Shane Tye, 32 of Rockhold, was charged with theft and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
