Bullet Found on School Bus by Boyd County Student

The Boyd County School District is reporting that a bullet was found on one of its buses on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. According to a release from Superintendent William Boblett, a single .22 caliber bullet was found by a student around 11:40am on the shuttle bus that travels to and from Boyd County High School and Boyd County Career and Technical Center. The student turned the bullet over to the driver who immediately notified BCCTEC administration and the School Resource Officer. An investigation was conducted and several students were questioned and searched. No other bullets and no weapons were located. As a precaution, and in collaboration with the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department, additional deputies will be present at Boyd County High School over the next several days.
