Beshear, Attorneys General Seek Legislation on Workplace Sexual Harassment

Attorney General Andy Beshear has joined a coalition of Attorneys General to demand Congress pass legislation that would no longer allow employers to make employees sign employment contracts that mandate sexual harassment claims be resolved privately, versus judicial proceedings. Beshear said action is needed from Congress to better protect victims from forced agreements that protect serial violators. In their letter, the coalition states access to the judicial system is a fundamental right of all Americans, which should extend to subjects of sexual harassment in the workplace.
