Arizona Man Convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute Drugs in Kentucky

On Friday, February 9, 2018, a federal jury in Lexington convicted Hector Salas, Jr., of Phoenix, of conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, over 400 grams of fentanyl, and one kilogram of heroin. According to trial testimony, Salas engaged in an agreement to distribute the controlled substances. He was stopped by Lexington Police in May 2017 towing a trailer that contained the drugs. The total street value of the drugs exceeded $1,000,000. Law enforcement also seized over $580,000 in proceeds from the distribution of the drugs. Sentencing for Salas is scheduled for May 11, 2018.
