Big Sandy Community and Technical College President/CEO Dr. Sherry Zylka finalized an agreement on Thursday, February 8, 2018 with the Kent Rose Foundation, Inc. to establish the Kent Rose Foundation, Inc. Scholarship. The foundation was established by Gina Rose, wife of the late Kent Rose, who passed away in 2016, to carry on his vision of helping students achieve their goals. The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming high school student pursuing an Associate of Science degree in Automotive Technology that has demonstrated the need for financial assistance. The scholarship can be renewed for a second year if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA. BSCTC is accepting scholarship applications now through April 1, 2018.
