Two people in Madison County were charged with murder following the death of a child. The Kentucky State Police Richmond post was contacted on Monday, February 12, 2018 after two-year-old Tristan Clements was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The initial investigation alleges he was injured while in the care of his mother, Seara Clements, 26, and her boyfriend, William Butler, 31, at a residence on Dreyfus Road in Madison County. The child was admitted into the University of Kentucky hospital, where he remained until succumbing to injuries on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Police arrested Butler and Clements, charging them with murder, criminal abuse, and failure to report neglect of abuse. Both were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
