Jackson County Detention Center Escapee Arrested in Knox County

A Jackson County Detention Center fugitive has been arrested. Tim Engle, 36 of Gray, escaped from the Jackson County Detention Center in September 2017 after being charged with several felonies. Information had been received that he had returned to Knox County and was living in the Gray area. Knox County Deputies Sam Mullins and Claude Hudson attempted to execute an arrest warrant at his residence on KY 459 on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. When deputies arrived, Engle ran out of the back door of the residence, but was apprehended after a lengthy foot chase. He was charged with escape and additional charges are forthcoming. A female at the residence, identified as 36-year-old Chrissey Johnson, was charged with hindering prosecution and wanton endangerment. Both were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
