The University of Pikeville was joined by Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 as the featured speaker for UPIKE’s Coleman College of Business Speakers and Leadership Series. Hampton shared how her experiences as a student and in the military, business and government shaped her personally and professionally. She advised the group that adaptability, flexibility and an entrepreneurial attitude are valuable qualities in the pursuit of success, and highlighted the importance of eliminating distractions. During her term, Hampton has focused her efforts on what she refers to as the “4 E’s: Entrepreneurship, Education, Emergency preparedness, and being an Example.” She is also working on the Lt. Governor’s Challenge Series, which currently includes the Entrepreneurship Challenge and the Bluegrass Book Buddies Challenge.
