Laurel County Woman Arrested for Public Intoxication and Assaulting Police Officer

A Laurel County woman was arrested on Sunday, February 25, 2018, following a disturbance complaint. The woman, identified as Kendra Messer, 30 of Walker, was said to have showed up at a residence that was not hers and was bleeding from the head. When deputies arrived at the scene, Messer began creating a disturbance, yelling and cursing. She was determined to be under the influence. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries and had allegedly threatened EMS workers. Additionally, at the emergency room, she yelled and cursed at hospital staff and kicked a deputy. Messer was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer, and terroristic threatening. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
