On Monday, February 26, 2018, the Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a threat complaint at the Rowan County High School. During the investigation, it was determined that a juvenile had made a threat towards the high school. After the investigation was completed, the juvenile was taken into custody. The Kentucky State Police were assisted on scene by the Rowan County Sheriff Department and the Morehead Police Department. The incident remains under investigation.
