On March 1, 2018, around 5:30pm, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 34-year-old Robert Farley on charges related to a sexual performance by a minor. An undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation was conduct after the KSP Electronic Crime Branch received a complaint that Farley was having an inappropriate relationship with a minor. The investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at a residence in Harlan. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory. Farley was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
