Governor Matt Bevin and First Lady Glenna Bevin announced on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 an online auction to push the ceremonial plunger for the implosion of the Capital Plaza Tower in downtown Frankfort. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the First Lady’s foundation, #WeAreKY! Inc., which seeks to better the lives of Kentucky’s most vulnerable children and families. The winner of the auction will join Governor Bevin onstage during the pre-implosion festivities on Sunday, March 11, 2018, and will push the ceremonial plunger that signals the start of the controlled demolition at 1:30pm that day.
