The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a complaint of an apparent suicide at residence off North Florence St the afternoon of Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Upon arrival, investigators found a deceased female with multiple gunshot wounds behind a residence there. An investigation determined the deceased female’s husband had shot her following a domestic argument. A .38 caliber Rossi pistol was recovered. Joshua Tate Davenport, 38 of Corbin, was charged with murder and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
