Hyden Citizens Bank has issued a notice that movie prop bills are currently being passed Leslie County as legal tender. Officials believe the bills may have been purchased from a movie prop company and look realistic. Bills are marked on the front and back with “This is a replica” and “This is not legal. It is to be used for Motion Pictures” on the front. Citizens are encouraged to monitor every bill they receive in the next few weeks. If you think that someone is using these bills, contact local authorities.
