On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Ashland Police officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Ashland Credit Union. The vehicle was occupied by 31-year-old Jeffery Shannon. It was determined that Shannon was under the influence of a controlled substance. Further investigation found the subject in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Shannon was arrested and charged with public intoxication and trafficking in a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
