Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville opened a terroristic threatening case at the Dorton Elementary School on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Post 9 receive the complaint around 9:40am of a juvenile making threats to harm a group of students with a knife. Trooper Jamie Rose responded to the school and charged the student with Terroristic Threatening 2^nd degree. The student did not have a knife in his possession at the school, there was only a threat made. The case remains under investigation.
