An escaped inmate from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center has been apprehended. Brian Olson, 23, of Sandy Hook, was discovered in Elliot County the evening of Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Olson, along with 30-year-old Jeremy Boggs had escaped a garbage detail on KY 201 on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Olson has been returned to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
