On Friday, March 30, 2018, the Kentucky State Police Richmond Post was contacted after a missing Estill County man was found deceased in a creek off of Fitchburg Road. The initial investigation indicates that Herbert “Leslie” Burton, 51 years old of Ravenna, was last seen when he walked away from his residence at approximately 3pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. KSP Post 7 was called on Thursday afternoon by his family after he failed to return home, prompting a missing person investigation. Around 9:15am, Burton’s body was found in a creek near his residence, and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Estill County Coroner. The investigation is ongoing.
