On Friday, April 13, 2018, the Ashland Police Department received a call of a collision on Simpson Road. Officers responded to the scene and learned a Chevrolet Camaro had intentionally struck a pedestrian with his vehicle and struck a home on Simpson Road before fleeing. Later that evening, officers located the vehicle and, through the investigation, the driver was found to be 35-year-old Richard Selvage of Ashland. Selvage was arrested and charged with assault, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
