Big Sandy Community and Technical College Phi Theta Kappa honors organization held its annual induction ceremony on the Prestonsburg campus. Over 30 students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Zeta chapter and join a group widely known for their community service, outreach and chapter success. The Alpha Nu Zeta chapter started in 1987 at then Prestonsburg Community College by mathematics professor Hassan Saffari. Members were lead in the PTK oath by PTK Alpha Nu Zeta chapter co-advisor Mark Wells as they signed the PTK Alpha Nu Zeta membership book. New members were also presented with a scroll and rose by PTK Alpha Nu Zeta chapter co-advisors Dr. Kathryn Miller and Diana Pack.
