On Saturday, April 21, 2018, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a male subject fighting with his girlfriend at a residence off East Laurel Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned there had apparently been an altercation between the two in the front yard. The male subject, identified as 45-year-old Daniel Garland, of London, was found to be intoxicated, as well as wanted on a Laurel District Court bench warrant. He was charged with assault and public intoxication. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
