Based on complaints received by citizens of reckless drivers, nuisance ATV’s, impaired driving, and some high traffic and high theft area, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office have added extra patrols and will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints. Road checks will be conducted more often in an attempt to clear the roadways of impaired drivers. Seat belt and car seat usage will also be aggressively enforce through patrol and road checks. Traffic checkpoints will be conducted throughout May 1 through May 14. Deputies will be out in both day and night time hours.
