Johnson County Sheriff’s Department Concludes Death Investigation of Boonscamp Man

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department has concluded their investigation into the death of a Boonscamp man. On February 9, 2018, Johnson County Sheriff Dwayne Price and several deputies responded to a report of a man lying unresponsive on the roadway in Chet Tackett Holler. The individual was identified as 36-year-old Dusty Harless, who declared dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner JR Frisby. Deputy Tim Clark led the investigation for the sheriff’s department, with the assistance of the Kentucky Medical Examiner in Frankfort. According to Deputy Clark, there was no evidence that the individual died as a result of assault or injury. Clark said the death was drug related, but would not give any specifics out of respect for Harless’s family.
