The Prestonsburg City Council held a special called meeting on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 to adopt resolution No. 02-2018, authorizing the mayor to apply for two grants with the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. Mayor Les Stapleton said the grants would go toward the purchase of a security gate for the water treatment plant for city utilities, as well as radio equipment for police and fire departments.
