The 2nd Annual Leading Ladies Regional Women’s Leadership Conference was held at Big Sandy Community and Technical College on April 6, 2018. The conference, offered in partnership with University of Pikeville, included co-conference sessions engaging students from both schools and involved multiple faculty, staff, student and community speakers. More than 90 attendees were welcomed by BSCTC President and CEO Dr. Sherry Zylka, and Dr. Patsy Jackson, Program Administrator for Associate Degree Nursing. The day culminated with a presentation by Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton, who shared her story of hard work and dedication. Her advice to attendees included tips to determine their dreams, learning to negotiate, and strive to make things better than the way you found them.
