The Scioto County Ohio Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a body found at BCE Materials in Wheelersburg on Monday, May 7, 2018. The body was located in a remote area of the property, between US 52 and SR 522, near a sand and gravel pit alongside Pine Creek. The body appeared to have been there for some time. The initial investigation by detectives and the Scioto County Coroner’s Office revealed the body to be that of 35-year-old Russell Bond, Jr. of Wheelersburg. Bond was reported missing on April 24. The body was sent to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for autopsy. The investigation continues but officials do not believe it to be a homicide.
