On Saturday, May 12, 2018, around 12:48pm, Louisa Police Sgt Steven Wilburn was dispatched to a shoplifting complaint at Louisa Walmart. A subject, identified as 35-year-old Brandi Fannin, was allegedly swapping tags on items. During the investigation, Sgt. Wilburn discovered Fannin in possession of several drug items and paraphernalia. It was discovered that two male subjects, 50-year-old Elvis Spence and 40-year-old Mark Mollette, were waiting for Fannin in a vehicle. With assistance from K-9 unit Kenya, methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. All subjects were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
