The non-profit charity Protection4Paws, Inc. announced on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 that K9 Drago of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department has been awarded the Ultimate K9 safety kit. The kit was awarded through Protection4Paws grant program, funded through sales and donations received at the Road Dawg Rumble. The kit includes the Hot-N-Pop pro temperature alarm and door popper system; the No K9 Left Behind alert system to remind handlers to remove the K9 from the vehicle; and the AceWatchDog device that sends status information, warnings and alerts from the heat alarm to the handlers internet connected device.
